CHENNAI: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has commenced mock tests for their two upcoming services - Sarvatra BSNL WiFi and Intranet Fiber TV (IFTV) - in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for their broadband (FTTH) subscribers.

BSNL broadband customers can now register their devices using the link http://portal.bsnl.in/ftth/wifiroaming to access WiFi while roaming via the Sarvatra plan in the BSNL FTTH WiFi zone.

The data consumption on the Sarvatra service will be deducted from the customer’s existing broadband data plan instead of the WiFi roaming zone’s data, according to a BSNL statement.

FTTH users with Android-Smart TVs (Android 10 and above) can avail of over 500 live TV channels streamed on the intranet fiber TV service.

The data usage of IFTV is independent of the data offered in the broadband plan.

In addition, BSNL is offering a promotional offer to prepaid mobile customers, 24 GB extra data with a validity of 24 days for those recharging more than Rs 500 during the period from October 1 to 24, added the statement.

The announcements were made on BSNL’s 25th formation day on October 1.
