Bodinayakanur: 87 voters listed under single address

The discrepancy has come to light in the draft voters’ list released on December 19 as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the State’s electoral rolls.

 The draft electoral roll for the Bodinayakanur Assembly constituency has sparked confusion after 87 voters were listed under a single house address in Kurangani village.

The discrepancy has come to light in the draft voters’ list released on December 19 as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the State’s electoral rolls.

According to the published list, major errors were found in polling stations covering Kurangani, Mudhuvarkudi and Kottakudi panchayats under the Bodinayakanur constituency. In Kurangani, the house number was shown as “zero” for voters listed from serial numbers 1 to 5.

From serial numbers 6 to 97, the house number was recorded as “1”, indicating that 87 voters were residing at the same address.
