BJP’s first TN chief passes away

K Narayan Rao, the first Tamil Nadu President of the BJP, died here on Wednesday.

He has been ailing for some time and his end came at 2 am on Wednesday morning. He was also a renowned educationist having founded the Jaigopal Garodia Higher Secondary School, Seethadevi Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School. 

The last rites would be held on Thursday. Union Minister and senior BJP leader Pon Radhakrishnan condoled the death of Narayan Rao. In his condolence message, he said. “Rao was a senior BJP leader and has been a guide and mentor for several people, including me, right from the Jan Sangh era’’.

Expressing deep anguish and grief over his death, Radhakrishnan offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. “I pray the Almighty to give necessary strength to his family, members of the National Educational Trust and students to bear the loss,’’ he said. The Viswa Hindu Vidya Kendra also condoled his death.
