BJP afflicts nation like corona virus, slams CM Stalin

CHENNAI: Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin on Tuesday said that the BJP-led Union government was acting like a permanent coronavirus inflicting the entire nation.

In a statement issued on the occasion of Pongal, he recalled the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and what he described as the BJP-led Centre's biased behaviour. CM Stalin said that when his government assumed office, the second wave of the outbreak was at its peak.

However, he alleged that the BJP-led Union government's deceit against Tamil Nadu continued, just as the coronavirus did.

Meanwhile, he announced that he would flag off the world-famous jallikattu in person. The Chief Minister said he would visit Madurai to witness the event on January 17 at Alanganallur.
