CHENNAI: Police are searching for men who snatched a gold chain from a woman near Chengalpattu Town police station on Friday.
The victim Subulakshmi (41) of Chengalpattu runs a vegetable shop in Paranur.
On Friday morning, Subulakshmi was travelling on her scooter and while nearing the town police station she noticed her earring had fallen on the road. She then stopped the vehicle and was searching for the earring.
Police said during that time two men who came on a bike snatched her 3 sovereign gold chain and went without stopping.
Soon, a complaint was filed in the Chengalpattu town police station and the police registered a case. A search is on to nab the snatchers with the help of CCTV.
