The controversy around actor Vijay starred Bigil has come to an end as theatres will run the early morning show for all movies, including Bigil, to be released for Deepavali.

According to office-bearers of Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association, “State government has given permission to run the early morning show for Bigil and other movies to be released on Friday. We are officially running the shows starting from 4 am.”

After the controversial speech of Vijay indirectly criticising the government during the audio launch of Bigil, the State had denied permission for the early morning shows for all the movies to be released on Deepavali. As these shows are money spinners, they had urged the government to give them permission to go ahead with these shows. After several rounds of talks with officials and Ministers, the government finally permitted theatres to run the shows.
