CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday said that the people of Tamil Nadu had decided to continue the DMK government as it stood for healthy politics in the State.

In a statement issued on the occasion of the Pongal festival, the Chief Minister urged people to ensure safe travel while returning to their destinations after celebrating the festival.

Recalling the Unga Kanava Sollunga (UKS) programme, he said, “The government has pledged to fulfil the dreams of the people by 2030. My government has been giving priority to education, environmental protection, peace, and communal harmony. This Pongal has become one of the happiest festivals due to key announcements such as the laptop scheme, new pension scheme, and the fulfilment of long-pending demands of sanitation workers and staff nurses.”
