Ban on drones in Kallakurichi for CM Stalin visit

According to the official itinerary, the Chief Minister will travel by road and will pass through the Ulundurpet toll plaza before proceeding to the function venue.

CHENNAI: Kallakurichi District Collector MS Prasanth, on Wednesday, announced a temporary ban on operating drones and other Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) along the convoy route of Chief Minister MK Stalin ahead of his visit on Friday. The CM will visit the district to inaugurate the Integrated Collectorate complex at Veeracholapuram.

According to the official itinerary, the Chief Minister will travel by road and will pass through the Ulundurpet toll plaza before proceeding to the function venue.

The Collector’s statement clarified that the ban was to ensure the smooth and safe movement of the CM’s convoy.

The restricted zones include Ulundurpet, Veeracholapuram, Emapper, and other areas falling within the jurisdictional limits of Kallakurichi district. The prohibition will remain in force on December 25 and 26, covering the period before, during, and shortly after Stalin’s visit.
