Ariyalur: Jayankondam GH gets new care centre with state-of-art facilities

Apart from this, Indian medicines like Siddha, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani medicines and homoeopathy are also available.

TIRUCHY: Jayankondam GH in Ariyalur gets a 100-bedded emergency care centre with all the latest facilities in an area of 80,000 sq ft at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore.

The new infrastructure was inaugurated by Chief Minister MK Stalin virtually as district Collector P Rathnasamy marked the launch by lighting a lamp at the centre onFriday.

The new seven-storey building was established at the Jayankondam GH with facilities like a kitchen, attenders' waiting hall, pharmacy and stockrooms on the ground floor.

The first floor is dedicated to the accident care, neonatal care and the second floor is the Green Zone, maintained by Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Initiative.

Apart from this, Indian medicines like Siddha, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani medicines and homoeopathy are also available.

After lighting the lamp, Collector Rathnasamy said that the facility has been dedicated to the people from Friday, and the new building has all new facilities, including the latest equipment.

DRDA Project Director AR Sivaraman, Joint Director (Health Services) Dr Marimuthu, RDO Sheena, Jayankondam GH Chief Dr Banumathi and others were also present during the launch.
