CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) issued a statement on Wednesday welcoming the induction of T.T.V. Dhinakaran into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

In his remarks, EPS stated that the unification of like-minded forces is essential to “uproot the anti-people rule of the DMK” and end “destructive dynastic politics” in Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that the alliance would work with a singular focus on restoring the “golden era of governance” exemplified by former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.

Accusing the ruling DMK of reducing governance to a “family enterprise,” EPS said the party has betrayed the aspirations of the people. “We will unite all democratic forces, uproot this oppressive regime, and restore honest, people-centric governance in Tamil Nadu,” he affirmed.

While conveying his wishes to Dhinakaran, EPS called on all those who believe in good governance to unite under a common banner. He urged like-minded groups and individuals to join a “united fight to end the DMK’s dynastic rule,” in order to protect the interests of the people and reclaim the state’s future.
