CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth on Monday paid floral tributes to the portrait of former CM J Jayalalithaa on her 77th birth anniversary at her Poes Garden house. “Deepa and her husband invited me to participate in her (Jayalalithaa) birth anniversary. I accepted the invite and came here to pay my respects,” Rajinikanth said. He added that it was his fourth visit to Jayalalithaa’s Veda Nilayam in Poes Garden. OPS supporter Pugazhenthi was also present on the occasion. His first visit to Veda Nilayam was in 1977 to meet her regarding a movie proposal and later he visited twice to invite her for his marriage hall inauguration and his daughter’s marriage. Her (Jayalalithaa) memories remain fresh in everyone’s mind and thoughts, Rajinikanth said.
