COIMBATORE: Film actor Chinni Jayanth’s son Sruthan Jai Narayanan assumed charge as Tirupur district sub-collector on Wednesday. Speaking to the media after taking charge, Sruthan said he will execute his duties sincerely for the welfare of the people. “Though I hail from a family with a cine background, my parents gave utmost importance to my studies due to which I could achieve this,” said Sruthan, who secured 75th all-India rank in the IAS exam in 2020.
