8 Srirangam school boys test positive

As many as eight students from Srirangam Boys’ Higher Secondary School, tested positive for COVID 19 and they were isolated on Saturday.

It is said, a team of para medical experts went to administer vaccination to the students in the age group between 15 and 18 and out of suspicion, they took blood samples from as many as 15 students and the results were out on Friday in which as many as eight students had tested positive for the disease. 

Subsequently, they were isolated and their parents were informed. Meanwhile, the officials from the education department visited the school and conducted an inquiry. They also listed out their contacts. The officials are likely to declare holiday for the school to avoid more spread of the virus.
