46-year-old construction worker electrocuted at Ambur

AMBUR: A construction worker was killed on the spot when he came in contact with a live wire while working on the first floor of a building in Ambur town on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Neelakandan (46) of Ponnampalli near Ambur. The incident happened when Neelalandan was engaged in construction work in the building owned by one Abdul Hakeem at MK Kollai locality in the town. He accidentally came in contact with a live wire which was passing that way and died on the spot. On receipt of the information, Ambur town police came to the spot and sent the body to the Ambur government hospital for post-mortem examination. Further investigations are on. A case is yet to be registered.
