3 of family found burnt to death at their home, cops say they had been killed 2 days ago

CHENNAI: The bodies of three members of a family were found in a charred state in three separate rooms of their residence in Kara Mani Kuppam area in Cuddalore district, as reported by Thanthi TV.

However, preliminary police investigation has revealed that the three persons had already been murdered on Saturday and their bodies were set on fire in their respective rooms today morning, according to Thanthi TV.

Nellikuppam police station was informed by neighbours of a stench emanating from the house and upon visiting the spot, found the three burnt bodies in three separate rooms, a PTI report stated.

A senior police official told the news agency that there were bloodstains found in the rooms.

The IT employee, had reportedly come home to visit his mother and son, the police official said.

Meanwhile, Cuddalore District Superintendent of Police Rajaraman has ordered to form a five-member special police team to identify the murderer.
