3-month-old boy dies after breastfeeding in Tiruvallur, investigation underway

Sudham Nayak, a 40-year-old mason from Parampur district, Odisha, has been working in a private factory in Tiruvallur Kakalur for the past 15 years.

CHENNAI:A three-month-old baby died in Tiruvallur after drinking breast milk.

The mother of the baby, Geetha, was feeding her three-month-old son, Sudarsan, when he suddenly started to vomit, as reported by Daily Thanthi.

Alarmed, Geetha and her husband, Sudham Nayak (40), a mason from Odisha's Parampur, took the infant by auto to the Tiruvallur Government Hospital and Medical College for treatment.

Despite intensive care, Sudarsan passed away.

The Tiruvallur taluk police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's death.

Sudham Nayak has been working in a private factory in Kakalur for the past 15 years. Geetha and he have another son, Jithu (1).
