CHENNAI: Poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Tuesday held a series of meetings with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) top brass to chalk out a comprehensive strategy for a fledgling party, keeping in mind the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections.

According to highly placed sources, Kishor, who had earlier worked with Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin, is roped in for the TVK.

TVK president Vijay and other senior leaders of the party, including general secretaries N Anand and Aadhav Arjuna held talks for the second consecutive day at Panaiyur headquarters of the party.

Strengthening the party’s organisational structure, election manifesto and campaign strategies were discussed during the meeting, insiders privy to the sessions said.

Senior TVK leaders revealed to DT Next that Kishor had submitted a detailed SWOT analysis report to the party leadership, outlining its strengths and weaknesses, as well as identifying areas of improvement.

The report, which is believed to be exhaustive, also provides a roadmap for the party to increase its vote share, which Kishor estimated could be around 15% to 20%.

“The report is a comprehensive document that provides a 360-degree view of the party’s current situation and offers suggestions on how to improve its prospects in the elections,” a TVK functionary, who wished to remain anonymous, told this newspaper.

With Kishor on board, the TVK is confident of making a significant impact in the 2026 Assembly elections.

As one TVK leader put it, with PK’s guidance, we are sure of not only increasing our predicted vote share but also emerging as a major force in TN politics.
