CHENNAI: Vijay CC regained the VAP Trophy for the fifth time with a five-wicket win over Young Stars in the final. After restricting Young Stars to 231/7, Vijay CC chased the score down with four balls to spare with skipper B Aparajith scoring 50 (57b, 2x4, 2x6).

Opener KTA Madhava Prasad contributed 42 while Muhammed Adnan Khan remained not out on 31. For the fourth wicket, Aparajith and Abhinav put on 83 runs off 99 balls.
