Both the Chennai Zone matches took place at the Gateway International School in the city on Saturday. In the Under-13 fixture, which was played in the afternoon, FC Madras pipped Chennai City FC 2-1 after leading 2-0 at the break. In the Under-15 contest, visitor FC Madras thrashed Chennai City 10-1, with Manglenthang netting a fantastic tally of five goals.
Results: Sub-junior (U-13): FC Madras 2 (Gingoungam 3’, Mangthenlal 30’) beat Chennai City FC 1 (Aditya 59’);
Junior (U-15): FC Madras 10 (Manglenthang 2’, 3’, 18’, 44’, 87’, Mizalrex 26’, 73’, Prakash 66’ (P) , Amogh 81’, Firoj 90’) beat Chennai City FC 1 (Lijo 48’).
