SRM IST emerged triumphant in the Chennai District ‘A’ Division Volleyball League Championship for Men by maintaining a 100 per cent record.

SRM, which won each of its seven matches, defeated Customs 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 26-24 in its last round-robin contest at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.

SRM received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh while second-placed Indian Overseas Bank and third-placed Tamil Nadu Police were richer by Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.
