Ramachandraa to meet Nellai Nadar in final

Ramachandraa Public School thrashed Don Bosco Matric Higher Secondary School ‘A’ by 10 wickets to enter the summit clash of the TNCA City Schools (Under-14) Tournament for the B Somasundaram Trophy.

At the St Bede’s ‘A’ Ground here on Thursday, Don Bosco was bowled out for 175 while batting first in the semi-finals. Chasing an easy target, openers Vrishank Karthik (90 not out) and K Abhinav (72 not out) put on an unbeaten stand of 176 runs for the first wicket to take their side past the finish line.


In the other last four stage clash at the Gandhi Nagar Ground, Nellai Nadar Matric Higher Secondary School got the better of St Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School by 27 runs.

At Gandhi Nagar Ground: Nellai Nadar MHSS ‘A’ 260 for 7 in 50 overs (AP Pragdeesh Kumar 112, RK Jayant 68) beat St Bede’s AIHSS ‘A’ 233 for 8 in 50 overs (S Birnaesh 57, CS Rohan 49, M Vishal Ram 34, V Varshith 30, J Jai Suriya 3/37).
