Chasing an easy target, openers Vrishank Karthik (90 not out) and K Abhinav (72 not out) put on an unbeaten stand of 176 runs for the first wicket to take their side past the finish line.
In the other last four stage clash at the Gandhi Nagar Ground, Nellai Nadar Matric Higher Secondary School got the better of St Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School by 27 runs.
