A total of 10 men’s and six women’s sides will compete in the event. The matches will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis. While the victor in the men’s section will take home the Dr B Sivanthi Gold Cup, the winner in the women’s section will be presented the SNJ Trophy.
The top five men players in the competition will be given the Dr B Sivanthi Best Player award and a cash price of Rs 5,000. The five best women players will receive the Annachi P John Best Player award and they will be richer by Rs 5,000. SRM University will hope to make it two in a row in the men’s category, while Kerala Police will strive for the same in the women’s section.
Teams: Men: Karnataka State, Income Tax (Gujarat), Indian Bank (Chennai), Income Tax (Chennai), Customs (Chennai), SRM University (Chennai), Tamil Nadu Police (Chennai), ICF (Chennai), St Joseph’s Engineering College (Chennai) and SDAT (Chennai).
Women: Kerala Police, South Central Railway, SAI (Thalassery), Dr Sivanthi Club (Chennai), ICF (Chennai) and SDAT (Chennai).
