Harsha Bhogle suggested that Chennai Super Kings acquire Ajinkya Rahane during the mid- season transfer after their crushing defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Dubai on Saturday.

Chennai Super Kings lost five out of seven games they had played in the IPL due to their unsteady batting line-up. Royal Challengers posted a competitive target of 170 with the help of Virat Kohli's brilliant 90 off 52 balls during Saturday's match. CSK staggered their way to 132 and lost the game by 37 runs.

The CSK captain, MS Dhoni also agreed that there are lots of holes in the ship with the bowlers conceding 96 runs in the last five overs and the batsmen not seeing through with the chase.

Ajinkya Rahane who has scored a total of 3820 runs in IPL, hasn't played a single game after being bought by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020.

Cricket expert Harsha Bhogle noticing CSK's need for a steady batting squad and Rahane's need of a game suggested CSK consider him during mid-season transfer. He took to his twitter account and shared his thoughts 'How's this for a mid-season transfer thought: CSK desperately need a quality top order batsman. Ajinkya Rahane desperately needs a game. Ajinkya Rahane is not getting a game.'

Mid-season transfer happens half way through the season, once every team has played seven matches.
