FC Madras off to a great start

Reigning Chennai Zone champion FC Madras began its Junior (Under-15) League campaign with a resounding 7-2 success over Chennai City FC at the FC Madras Arena here on Wednesday.

Manglenthang and Tshering wreaked havoc, scoring four and three goals respectively for the victor, which led 2-0 at the breather. Nikhil and Logesh got on the scoresheet for CCFC with a goal each.

Alongside the above-mentioned teams, the Chennai Zone comprises Chennaiyin FC, Raman Vijayan Soccer School, Great Goals, Football Plus PSA and new-entrant Aazura FC.

Result: FC Madras 7 (Manglenthang 32’, 41’, 62’, 78’, Tshering 82’, 86’, 90+2’) beat Chennai City FC 2 (Nikhil 69’, Logesh 76’).
