FC Kerala to distribute membership

FC Kerala, a professional football club constituted recently to represent the state in National events, would distribute membership at a function on December 26.

Announcing the programme, Director Prof V A Narayana Menon and KFTC Chief Coach P Niyaz Rehman and others said football aficionados will be issued with an initial membership fee of Rs 25,000 and Rs 2,500 per year for renewal.

Rs 60,000 will be charged for life membership, they said.

Proceeds from the membership fee will be remitted in bank as fixed deposit, they said, adding  interest accrued from this and revenue through sponsorship would be utilised to meet expenses by the team.

The function at K P Kesava Menon Hall would also witness release of a documentary, 'Journey to the goal' pointing out the backwardness of Indian football by KFTC  Coach Prasad V Haridasan, they added.

KFTC Secretary I P Prasad, K C Kerala Promoters C K Salahuddin and K A Navas were also present.
