CHENNAI: Defending champion Dabang Delhi made it two victories in as many Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 matches with thumping 53-33 win over Gujarat Giants at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday.

Delhi skipper Naveen Kumar once again led from the front by earning 15 raid points while Manjeet (10 points – 8 raid points and 2 tackle points) and Krishan Hooda (7 tackle points) also impressed on the night. Rakesh (15 points – 14 raid points and 1 tackle point) waged a lone battle for Gujarat, which endured its first loss of the season.

In another match, U Mumba got the better of UP Yoddhas 30-23, thanks to an all-round performance. In the Delhi-Gujarat contest, Rakesh was on fire in the first half, completing his ‘Super 10’, but it was the holder which led at the breather. DD held a slender four-point (21-17) advantage, courtesy of Naveen and Manjeet’s good work.
