Bowlers dominate in PR Thevar Trophy

CHENNAI: Vellore’s right-arm pacer Rukesh Kannan (5/16), Erode pacer Sriguru (5/26) and Krishnagiri’s off-spinner Dhiyas (5/29) all picked up five wicket hauls in their respective victories in TNCA Inter Districts U-16 Tournament here on Sunday.

Cuddalore's right-arm pacer AM Darnesh picked up a five-wicket haul, including a sizzling hat-trick. In the same clash, Perambalur's pacer Yugaselvan gave it back to Cuddalore with 5/35, which sealed the game for his side. 

In a round that was filled with top bowling displays, it was Chengalpattu's J Kabilan who put on a batting masterclass, scoring a 108-ball 127, a knock that included 14 fours against Tiruchirapalli.
