2 silver medals for TN on final day

Tamil Nadu’s Praveen Chithravel bagged the silver medal in the men’s triple jump event of the Federation Cup Senior Athletics Championships here on Wednesday.

KOZHIKODE: Tamil Nadu’s Praveen Chithravel bagged the silver medal in the men’s triple jump event of the Federation Cup Senior Athletics Championships here on Wednesday. On the concluding day, Praveen produced a best effort of 16.84m to finish second behind gold medallist Eldhose Paul (16.99m) of Kerala. U Karthik (16.81m) from Kerala completed the podium. In men’s 400m hurdles, T Santhosh Kumar of Tamil Nadu crossed the finish line in 50.72s to earn silver. Kerala’s MP Jabir (50.35s) and Dhaval Mahesh Utekar (51.58s) from Gujarat won gold and bronze respectively.
