2026 TN polls | DMK allots seats to MDMK, Left parties, and smaller allies

Party insiders said the allocations were made after balancing regional influence and community representation among allies.

CHENNAI: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Saturday further firmed up its alliance matrix, allocating constituencies to multiple allies including the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Left parties and other regional outfits for the 2026 Assembly elections.

MDMK constituencies: Modakurichi, Madurai South, Kadayanallur and Sirkazhi (SC).

CPI constituencies: Thali, Thiruthuraipoondi (SC), Srivilliputhur (SC), Tiruppur North and Bhavanisagar (SC).

CPI(M) constituencies: Kilvelur (SC), Gandharvakottai (SC), Padmanabhapuram, Palani and Tiruvottiyur.

IUML constituencies: Papanasam and Vaniyambadi.

KMDK constituencies: Tiruchengode and Pollachi.

MMK constituencies: Nagapattinam and Manapparai.

Other allocations: Sivaganga (Mukkulathor Puli Padai), Chidambaram (MJK), Nannilam (SDPI) and Natham (TDP).
