Tamilisai Soundararajan appointed as Telangana Governor

New Governors have been appointed to 5 states in India.

Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan has been appointed as the new Governor of Telangana state.

The President announced new governors for 5 states in the country.

Apart from Telangana, states Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and Maharashtra will get new Governors.

Bhagat Singh Koshyari has been appointed the new Governor of Maharashtra replacing Vidyasagar Rao. In Himachal Pradesh, Bandaru Dattatreya replaces Mishra. 

Former Union Minister Arif Mohammad Khan has been appointed as the Governor of Kerala replacing P. Sathasivam. Kalraj Mishra replaces Kalyan Singh as the new Governor in Rajasthan.

The appointments take effect from the dates the new governors take charge of their respective offices.
