CHENNAI: Southern Railway has notified experimental stoppage for ten pairs of express trains at stations in southern Tamil Nadu following the approval of the railway board.
According to a notification from Southern Railway (SR), train no 16729/16730 Madurai – Punalur – Madurai Daily Express will be provided experimental stoppages at Kovilpatti and Satur Stations with effect from 20th September.
Train no 16779/16780 Tirupati – Rameswaram – Tirupati Tri-Weekly Express will be provided with experimental stoppage at Arni Road Station from Tirupati with effect from 25th September and from Rameswaram with effect from 24th September.
Train no 16849/16850 Tiruchchirappalli – Rameswaram – Tiruchchirappalli Daily Express will be provided with experimental stoppage at Keeranur Station with effect from 20th September.
Train no 16865/16866 Chennai Egmore – Thanjavur – Chennai Egmore Uzhavan Daily Express will be provided with experimental stoppage at Cuddalore Port Jn. Station with effect from 20th September.
Train no 17407/17408 Tirupati – Mannargudi – Tirupati Pamani Tri- Weekly Express will be provided with experimental stoppages at Polur and Tirukkovilur Station. Polur with effect from 26th September and Tirukkovilur with effect from 25th September.

Train no 22605/22606 Purulia – Villupuram – Purulia Bi- Weekly Superfast Express will be provided with experimental stoppage at Tirukkovilur Station from Purulia with effect from 25th September and from Villupuram with effect from 27th September.
Train no 22613/22614 Rameswaram – Ayodhya Cantonment – Rameswaram Shraddha Sethu Weekly Superfast Express will be provided with experimental stoppages at Ramanathapuram and Karaikkudi Station Ex. Rameswaram with effect from 24th September and from Ayodhya Cantt with effect from 20th September.
Train no 16791/16792 Tirunelveli – Palakkad – Tirunelveli Palaruvi Daily Express will be provided experimental stoppage at Ettumanur Station with effect from 20th September, the notification from SR said.
