CHENNAI: Kerala police are actively searching for actor Lakshmi Menon, who is reportedly absconding in connection with the kidnapping and assault of an IT employee in Kerala on August 24.
According to media reports, the incident occurred at a bar in Ernakulam, Kerala, where a quarrel broke out between two groups. Following the altercation, the actor and her friends allegedly blocked the IT professional's vehicle near the railway bridge, "verbally abused" him, and "forcibly pushed" him into their car, police told PTI, adding that he was released on Monday.
In connection with the case, the police arrested three individuals, Mithun, Aneesh, and Sonamol, on Wednesday, while the actor reportedly went into hiding. A video later surfaced purportedly showing Menon at the scene of the altercation.
Lakshmi Menon was last seen in Arivazhagan’s horror thriller Sabdham, alongside Aadhi Pinisetty.
