5.2 magnitude temblor rattles Andaman Islands

A quake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Andaman Islands at 08:00 hrs today.

The temblor was epicentred at 10.1 degrees North latitude and 91.6 degrees East longitude, the India Meteorological Department said in a statement. Its depth was 10 km.
