President M.K. Stalin on Monday said he would comment on Rajinikanth entering politics after he floats his party and announces its ideologies.

Stalin also said the DMK alliance remains strong and better than it was during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Queried about actor Rajinikanth's recent announcement that he would float his political party, Stalin said: "Anybody can enter politics. All have that right in a democracy."

Stalin said let Rajinikanth float his party and announce its ideologies, and then he would comment.

He also said he did not hear any views that Rajinikanth would not align with DMK.

Stalin said the DMK alliance remains strong and better than it was during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

He said the alliance will better its performance in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in the upcoming 2021 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

The DMK alliance won 38 out of 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Stalin said the Commission appointed to take caste data in Tamil Nadu by the government is just an election stunt. The AIADMK government did not do that during the past 10 years.

On the charge of Chief Minister K. Palaniswami that DMK is a corporate set up, Stalin said it is only the former who is supporting the corporate friendly Central government.
