Wadhawan brothers granted conditional bail in Rs 200 crore cheating case

In a big relief to DHFL promoters Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan, a special court hearing cases under the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors Act (TNPID) on Monday granted conditional bail to the brothers in connection with a Rs 200 crore cheating case.

Allowing the bail applications, Special Judge S Sathi Kumar granted the relief and directed the accused to deposit Rs 50 lakh each and produce sureties worth Rs 50 lakh each. They will also have to report before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing, TN Police at 10 am daily until further orders.
