Following the death of VJ and actress Chitra, an official investigation by the RDO was conducted and a 16 page-report was submitted to the investigating team on Thursday.

The RDO inquiry began with VJ Chitra's family, including her husband Hemanth Kumar. The RDO then questioned the hotel staff where the actress was found dead.

Her industry friends, colleagues and another artist Saranya who was last seen with the late actress were also questioned.

There are also reports that Chitra's manager Anand was also interrogated for nearly two hours. Nearly 15 people were questioned in this case.

Chitra was found dead in a hotel room early on December 9. Several of her friends had claimed that Chitra was under  pressure from her mother and her husband. Hemanth was arrested a few days after her death and is in Puzhal Jail.

Meanwhile, sources said the RDO inquiry has ruled out dowry harassment in VJ Chitra's suicide.

Further details of the report are awaited. Meanwhile, VJ Chitra's mother had approached the CM's private cell demanding a CBCID probe on her daughter's untimely death.
