A video clip of a police sub-inspector being hit by a speeding autorickshaw at Nandambakkam went viral on Tuesday.

CHENNAI: A video clip of a police sub-inspector being hit by a speeding autorickshaw at Nandambakkam went viral on Tuesday. The incident happened on Sunday evening when sub-inspector Ponraj of Nandambakkam police station was involved in a vehicle check along with other cops. The video clip showed that the SI tried to stop an autorickshaw, but it knocked him down before speeding away. The Nandambakkam police said that Ponraj suffered minor injuries in the accident and was treated as an outpatient in the hospital. St Thomas Mount traffic investigation wing police have registered a case and have launched a hunt for the autorickshaw.
