Varadharaju appointed as Tiruchy CoP, Mylapore gets new DC

In a fresh reshuffle of police officers, the Home department on Friday appointed V Varadharaju, Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, as the Commissioner of Tiruchy city in place of A Amalraj. Amalraj will be the new IG of Central Zone, a press release from the Home department said.

HM Jayaraman, IG, Enforcement, has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of police, Headquarters, Chennai city, a newly created post. Deshmukh Sekhar Sanjay, who had been working as ADC to the State Governor, has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of police, Mylapore, in the place of A Jayalakshmi, who has been transferred and posted as SP, Cyber Crime Cell, CBCID. The present Cyber Cell SP, SV Mahabarathi, is retiring in the month end.
