Two, including teen, held for Ganja possession in Chennai

Police said that they received a tip off about ganja being sold near the water tank in Ambedkar Nagar, Madhavaram and a special team was formed to watch suspicious movements.

CHENNAI: City police on Sunday arrested two persons in Madhavaram for being in possession of 1.2 kg of ganja

Police said that they received a tip off about ganja being sold near the water tank in Ambedkar Nagar, Madhavaram and a special team was formed to watch suspicious movements.

When a police team intercepted the duo, they gave suspicious answers after which they were detained and searched.

Police found the ganja concealed in a bag after which they were arrested. The arrested persons were identified as A Arun (32) and M Manikandan (19). Police seized 1.2 kg ganja from them.

Both of them were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
