Two girls commit suicide after failing in Class 12 exams in city

Two girls, aged 17, committed suicide in Madhavaram and Ennore after failing to clear Class 12 examination. Police said one of the deceased, K Preethi, is daughter of a daily wage worker.

She hanged self at her home on Thursday night, using her dupatta, after she learnt of failing in two subjects. She was found dejected from the morning after results were published online, police said quoting family members. In second case, Meghalaveni of Ennore, hanged self on Friday after she failed to clear the exams.
