The action was taken after senior officials conducted an inquiry with the CISF personnel posted at the airport. The CCTV footage showed that the man identified as Muraliraj (28) of Pallavaram entered the domestic departure terminal via Gate 1 and the ASI posted the gate did not raise any objection.

In another video, Muraliraj was seen inquired by an SI-rank officer and being sent off without taking the matter up with the senior officials. The sub-inspector reportedly failed to take any written statement and get a copy of his identity proof for an inquiry later. A department action is also expected to be initiated against the two officers.

Muraliraj was again picked up from the parking lot of the airport around 7.30 pm and he allegedly told officials he came to board a flight to New Delhi, though he did not have a ticket. He was later sent off with a warning with the condition to appear for the inquiry whenever required.
