TTE films college girl in train toilet, held

A 26-year-old travelling ticket examiner (TTE) has been arrested by railway police for allegedly filming a college girl on his mobile phone while she was inside the toilet on Cheran Superfast Express.

The accused Meganathan was booked under Woman Harassment and Information Technology Act and remanded in judicial custody. The incident happened on a Chennai-bound train on September 17. The 22-year-old victim, who realised that somebody is filming her, opened the toilet and secured the TTE near Arakkonam in the wee hours. After inquiry, police registered a case and remanded the TTE in judicial custody.
