Jayamala, Vilas Jhalindar Pakhare and Raju Uttam Shinde, who were flown to the city by a special team from Delhi, were taken to RGGGH by Seven Wells inspector Sathyan and team on Saturday evening. Later, they were produced before the Magistrate at the latter’s house.

A senior officer told DT Next that Jayamala complained of continuous harassment by her husband Sheetal Kumar, father-in-law Dali Chand and mother-in-law Pushpa Bhai, which frustrated her to the extent of murdering them. The officer added that the second pistol used in the triple murder, which is country-made and unlicensed, has also been retrieved. Meanwhile, a team led by inspector Devaraj retrieved the second car used by the accused in Pune, which would be made part of the investigation. The other three accused – Kailash (32), Ravindranath Gar (25) and Vijay Uttam Kamal (28) – who have been taken into police custody are simultaneously being grilled by police. An official said that Jayamala and two others, too, would be taken into custody for interrogation. The accused reached Sheetal Kumar’s house in Sowcarpet and shot them to death on November 11.
