CHENNAI: Chennai division of Southern Railway has informed through a press release that due to rains and meteorological department rain forecast for next three days, the line block announced in Chennai Egmore - Villupuram Section on Sunday has been cancelled.
Subsequently, all diversions and to operate express Trains on UP Suburban line between Tambaram - Chennai Egmore and provision of additional stoppages proposed stands cancelled. Hence, Express train services will be operated on normal routes and as per schedule on Sunday.
The cancellation of Suburban train services between 07.45 hrs and 19.45 hrs has also been withdrawn and suburban train services in Chennai Beach - Chengalpattu section will be operated as per schedule (Sunday pattern of service) on 14 July, added the statement.
