Traffic diversions in Nungambakkam: Check details

In connection with a conference organised by the members of the JACTO-GEO ( Joint Action Council of Teachers’ Organisations - Government Employees’ Organisations) at Island grounds on Saturday, it is expected that a large number of government employees and teachers would participate in the conference.

CHENNAI: Chennai city police have announced traffic diversions near Island grounds and Nungambakkam on Saturday.

In connection with a conference organised by the members of the JACTO-GEO ( Joint Action Council of Teachers’ Organisations - Government Employees’ Organisations) at Island grounds on Saturday, it is expected that a large number of government employees and teachers would participate in the conference.

“Though the Greater Chennai Traffic Police will make suitable arrangements to maintain the traffic flow there may be chances of slow movement of traffic at Kamarajar Salai from Labour Statue up to War memorial, Flag Staff Road, Wallajah Road and a stretch of Anna Salai from Anna statue to Wallajah Point. Hence according to the situation the vehicles may be diverted at Labour statue, Anna Salai x Pallavan Salai, Anna Salai x Flag Staff Road, Muthusamy Salai x EVR Salai and RBI subway,” an official release said.

Apart from this, Chennai Open WTA 2022 Tennis Tournament is scheduled to be held at the SDAT Tennis Stadium, Nungambakkam, Chennai from Saturday ( September 10) to September 18.

In case of traffic slowdown on School road, vehicles coming from Mahalingapuram main road will be diverted at Pushpa Nagar Junction. These vehicles will reach Tank Bunk road through Sterling Avenue to reach their destination, an official release said.
