Traffic diversion on Anna Salai to ease congestion

The Chennai city traffic police have altered the vehicle movement on the arterial Anna Salai on a trial basis to ease traffic congestion.

CHENNAI: The Chennai city traffic police have altered the vehicle movement on the arterial Anna Salai on a trial basis to ease traffic congestion. Vehicles coming from the Spencer Plaza junction towards Anna flyover have been diverted via Thiru Vi Ka Road to reach Whites Road to take right and re-join Anna Salai, while vehicles coming from Anna flyover to reach Royapettah will be allowed to take right on Thiru Vi Ka Road. The traffic diversion has been introduced on a trial basis to remove the traffic signal on Thiru Vi Ka Road-Anna Salai junction. The city traffic police have welcomed feedback and suggestions from motorists.
