Traffic cops get 5 patrol bikes from Suzuki

The Greater Chennai Traffic Police received five two-wheelers donated by Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited for patrolling purpose on Monday.

Equipped with a taller windscreen and red-blue blinkers, the 250cc bikes are intended at traffic police personnel reaching the spot faster in case a grievance is reported. The traffic police wing will get five more two-wheelers, an official said.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police AK Viswanathan launched a scheme to serve buttermilk to police personnel as the summer has started. As many as 5,000 buttermilk cans would be distributed to police personnel for 122 days and Rs 30.20 lakh has been allocated for the same.
