Theme song for CISF’s 25-day cyclothon released in Chennai

On Monday the theme song of cyclothon 2026 was released at the airport director’s office conference hall. Addressing the media, CISF Southern Sector Inspector General SR Saravanan and Deputy Inspector General Ponni elaborated on the scope and objectives of the initiative.

CHENNAI: To enhance public awareness about coastal security challenges such as drug trafficking, smuggling of arms and explosives, human trafficking, illegal infiltration by foreign nationals, and terrorist activities, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will undertake a 25-day coastal bicycle expedition starting from New Delhi on January 28.

As part of strengthening aviation security, advanced AI-based surveillance systems are being introduced at all international airports across the country, including Chennai. Cyclothon 2026 will be virtually flagged off by Union Minister Nityanand Rai from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. It will pass through 9 coastal states, including Tamil Nadu, covering multiple districts.
