Technical snag delays Air India flight from Chennai to Delhi

CHENNAI: The Chennai to New Delhi Air India flight was delayed for more than an hour following a technical snag.

The Air India flight to Delhi was scheduled to depart from Chennai at 5.55 am with 157 passengers. When the flight started to move on the runway, the pilot noticed a technical snag in the aircraft, stopped the flight immediately and alerted the ATC.

The flight was pulled back to the bay while the passengers were inside the aircraft. The engineering team deployed to rectify the error finished their job in an hour.

The timely notice by the pilots has averted the flight from encountering an accident.

The flight departed from the Chennai airport at 7 am.
