Shanmugam’s SIT probe demand: It’s his personal view, says OPS

AIADMK convenor and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Tuesday distanced himself from Law Minister C Ve Shanmugam’s demand for a special investigation team to probe against the VK Sasikala family who attended to the former chief minister Jayalalithaa at Apollo Hospitals.

When asked to comment on Shanmugam’s demand, Panneerselvam said that the Law Minister has expressed his personal views on Jayalalithaa’s death probe, the AIADMK leader quipped.

When asked about the poll alliances and the preparatory works for Tiruvarur bypoll, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the AIADMK was ready for polls and would emerge victorious. Whether we are contesting with alliance or fighting on our own, but we are winning the Tiruvarur constituency, he added. 

The AIADMK leader who extended New Year greetings evaded queries on whether the BJP and AIADMK would form an alliance. 

According to the party sources works are on for Tiruvarur bypoll.
